“I Am Love. Born from Love”
As part of the Cove created FreeArt series, and one of the many projects we’ve made highlighting the LGBTQ+ community, Facebook’s More Together Pride campaign gave us both the platform and creative leeway to discover, cast and showcase artists from across the LGBTQ+ community.
For this project our team searched across the country to cast a wide array of artists from the community that inspire change, cultivate a new perspective, and are unique voices for their communities. It was our pleasure to not only work with Slam Poet Pastiche Queen, Rapper Aina Brei’Yon, and Photographer Kelly Balch but to also be there live to capture the moment as they created a custom piece of art specifically for this project.
Filmed between Los Angeles and Chicago across multiple days each artist partnered with a corresponding Facebook Group and worked with that group & Cove to engage likeminded audiences across the Facebook group platform via these pieces. In addition to this community co-ordination, the three showcase spots ran across the Freeform platform and aired throughout their pride month initiative.
Through this FreeArt Facebook collaboration we are extremely proud to shine a light on these amazing artists and now call each one of them our friends.
